Check the Facts
Karen Zaccor, Mayor Brandon Johnson and The Chicago Teachers Union are lying to voters about me and my campaign.
“Donald Trump and Out-Of-State Billionaires are pulling the strings of Ellen Rosenfeld”
“Expect Ellen Rosenfeld to dance to Donald Trump’s Project 2025 Agenda”
False. Let me be clear: those who know me, know I have dedicated almost 30 years to advocating for students and families across the city. I have always stood up for the values of inclusion, fairness, and progress in education.
I have never, and will never, support any part of Donald Trump’s extreme Project 2025, or any plan that would harm our communities or hinder progress for our children.
These desperate tactics are a clear sign that my opponent knows I am the most qualified candidate in this race. Instead of engaging in a constructive conversation about the issues that matter most to voters, my opponent has resorted to spreading lies in an attempt to sway public opinion.
…But Zaccor’s campaign is bankrolled by The Chicago Teachers Union and shady front organizations.
True. Mayor Brandon Johnson and the CTU have funneled over $130,000 into a front group called "Peoples 32nd" to send out false attacks on me and my family through misleading direct mail.
CBS and ABC 7 reported on the Chicago Teachers Union’s efforts to spread false information about candidates citywide. When I called on Zaccor to denounce these dirty tricks by the Chicago Teachers Union, she said they were a “stretch.”
Those who serve on a school board should lead by example. As your representative, I will always stand for truth, integrity, and transparency. No shadowy front organizations, no lies about my opponents, and no underhanded political tactics.
Endorsements: Paul Vallas, the Illinois Policy Institute, and the Chicago Republicans
Let me be crystal clear: I did not seek, solicit, or request these endorsements.
I am a lifelong Democrat. I vote in every Democratic Primary and deeply align with Democratic values. I have been endorsed by Personal PAC—Illinois’ leading pro-choice advocacy group—and the Chicago Federation of Labor. I am committed to advancing issues such as reproductive rights, inclusive LGBTQ curriculum, and protecting our workers from privatization that undercuts wages.
It is clear that these conservative organizations see me as the only candidate capable of defeating Mayor Brandon Johnson and the CTU-backed candidate in District 4, and they have jumped on my bandwagon without an invitation.
